To discover, see and do...
The Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec presents a survey of Quebec art from its origins to the present day. One must-see exhibition is devoted to Jean-Paul Riopelle, key figure in the world of Quebec art. The museum offers a varied program year-round that is a discerning balance of ancient, modern and contemporary art, from Quebec, Canada and around the world. Located in the heart of the magnificent Battlefields Park, the museum is an architectural wonder. One of its pavilions was designed by architect Charles Baillairgé and used to house the old Quebec City jail. Visitors can even see cells from when it was a 19th-century prison.
