To discover, see and do...

The Château Dufresne, built between 1915 and 1918, has been ranked as a historic monument since 1976. It houses a collection of decorative art and pieces that belonged to the Dufresne family (1875-1947), including magnificent paintings by artist Guido Nincheri, a porcelain collection from around the world, baroque friezes, twelve mantelpieces of different styles, a fountain with oriental touches and other treasures illustrating the decorative trends of the day. The Château Dufresne Museum is an excellent symbol of the emerging Montréal upper middle class in the early 19th century, and showcases their aspirations, views and tastes.
