Located in the heart of a mining area, the Musée minéralogique et minier de Thetford Mines tells the fascinating history of the Appalachians, from the formation of minerals to the development of a society shaped by the mining industry. The exhibitions, mining heritage tours, discovery-activities and HD science movies combine observations, experiences and demonstrations. The museum also features an impressive mineral gallery containing over 350 minerals from around the world.
